Thanks to SuperFan Sammi for making our lives so much better by posting this up. Some vintage Conan O’Brien w/ a guest shot from Lance Bass.
Conan is trying to form a boy band and makes it his quest to get Lance Bass to leave *NSYNC and join Dudez-A-Plenti. They already have their frosted-tip band member in a space suit, dancing with another boy, but…they want the real deal.
Justin Timberlake, 29, has won six Grammy Awards. He hosts the PGA Tour’s Justin Timberlake Shriners Hospitals for Children Open.
My No. 1 golf moment was my first ace.
It was on the third hole at Lakeside [Golf Club, near Los Angeles], 182 yards, pin cut left-center. I hit a 5-iron—the perfect draw—over the hole and spun it back. We start going crazy, and news spread fast. I saw a group with a bunch of drinks. One of them said, “Don’t worry—we put this on your account.” [Laughs.]
Golf brings all kinds of people together, all ages, all cultures.
We’re all connected by that bond. I played with Arnie, who’s the coolest person ever. I mean, he was Elvis, James Dean, Tiger, all rolled into one. I had a 35-foot double-breaker. He says, “Great putt!” the very second I hit it, and it lips out. He just knew it was a good putt. Amazing.
I play forged Callaway Diablos.
I have three custom-made sets, one set [each] in L.A., New York, and Memphis. [Timberlake owns Mirimichi golf course outside of his native Memphis.] Yep, I’m a total club junkie.
I have crazy autograph stories.
A few years back I was a guest at a course. I was on the 18th fairway, and when I looked up, 3,000 people were watching me. It looked like a pro-am! Someone called all the members and said, “Justin Timberlake’s here! Bring your family.”
Winning Grammys and Emmys are great, but my ace felt far superior.
No contest. No one gives you a hole-in-one. No one votes. You have to take it. An ace is…eternal.
In a piece reminiscent of “Where Are They Now,” Entertainment Weekly profiles 4 of the members of *NSYNC
JUSTIN TIMBERLAKE
Let Timbo’s post-*NSYNC career be the yardstick against which all other ex-boy-banders are judged: he who hath transcended his frosted tips and Lou Pearlman puppet strings to become not only a massive solo star with six Grammys and two multiplatinum albums, but now an in-demand thespian as well (see legendary SNLguest-host spots, much-anticipated David Fincher Facebook movie The Social Network).
JOEY FATONE
He may never have been *NSYNC‘s sex symbol (or even its third runner-up), but the amiable Fatone has carved a place for himself as the goateed teddy bear of reality television, placing second on Dancing With the Stars, hosting karaoke game showThe Singing Bee and various red-carpet events for TV Guide, and most recently, serving as the announcer on Family Feud.
LANCE BASS
Though bested by former bandmate Fatone on DWTS (he came in third to Joey’s second), the *NSYNCer and onetime aspiring cosmonaut trumped him with a best-selling autobiography, 2007′s Out of Sync; an official coming-out on the cover ofPeople magazine; and various gigs for stage and screen, including a Broadway run as Corny Collins in Hairspray. Today, he appears to be focusing his efforts primarily on behind-the-scenes production and philanthropy.
JC CHASEZ
Often thought to have the best hopes for a solo career aside from bandmate Timberlake, *NSYNC dreamboat Chasez failed to connect with his ’04 debut,Schizophrenic, and was eventually dropped by label Jive. Subsequently, he’s turned to acting (including guest spots on Ghost Whisperer and Las Vegas), and songwriting and producing for other artists (David Archuleta, Backstreet Boys). He is currently a judge on America’s Best Dance Crew.
Since his illustrious days with the famous boy band *NSYNC, Dr. Phillips resident Joey Fatone, has remained busy and blessed doing what he loves best—entertaining. As an actor, TV host, and celebrity dancer, Fatone continues to showcase his talent and land in the spotlight.
In early 2010, Billboard Magazine gave NSYNC’s “No Strings Attached” album a No. 1 spot on their list of top albums of the past decade. In May, Fatone made a special appearance on ABC’s “Dancing with the Stars” reality TV show after being voted by fans to perform a tango with Season 8 contestant, Melissa Rycroft.
Not one to forego a challenge, Fatone enjoys the excitement of new opportunities along with the risks and rewards of the entertainment business. “I just love the game,” says Fatone, “and the fact that in this business you can be broke on Friday, and rich on Monday.”
