All Lance Everything- The Early Years (Day 2)
Here at Still*NSYNC we are celebrating the man that is Lance Bass with a month specially themed for him. This week we’re talking about the early years of Mr. Bass.
It all started right about here… actually in just a few days, in 1979 in Mississipi. They say some babies have a face only a mother could love, but I’ve checked out the Baby Bass Face and it’s pretty darn loveable:
On three, everyone….one, two, three— AWWW!
James Lance Bass was born in Laurel, Mississippi, to James and Diane Bass. Along with his older sister, Stacy, Bass grew up in nearby Ellisville, Mississippi. Lance has described his childhood as “extremely happy”. As a young boy, he developed an interest in space, and at age 9 traveled to Cape Canaveral, Florida, with his father to watch his first live space shuttle launch. “I was certain from then on that my future was to be involved with space.” [source] Shortly after, he attended space camp in Titusville, Florida, and aspired to attend college and study engineering, with the hope that he would one day work for NASA. Coming up, we talk about Lance the Kid and Lance the ShowStopper!
