I thought it was kind of fitting, for today…

From Wikipedia:  Music of My Heart is the first single from the soundtrack to Music of the Heart, recorded by Gloria Estefan and*NSYNC.   The song received four important nominations: the Academy Award for “Best Original Song” two for the Grammy award for “Best Song Written for a Motion Picture” and “Best Pop Collaboration with Vocals”. The last nomination was for the Billboard Music Awards for “Top Song From A Movie”, the only award which Estefan won of all the nominations received for the song.  The song ended at the Billboard Year-End Charts at #97 after peaking at #2 on the Billboard Hot 100 earlier in the year 1999. The single was certified Gold by the RIAA in the United States for sales over of the 500,000 copies.

The lyrics praise music teachers as the six perform in the gymnasium. The video debut on TRL, Thursday, August 12, 1999 at number 1.
