No, really. Stop. “Don’t Stop– STOPPED.”
The Anders Fernette entry in Melodifestivalen 2011 titled Don’t Stop will be disqualified from the competition after it emerged this morning that a demo of the song by JC Chasez was published online in June of this year. Chasez was the lead singer of American international superband, N-sync.
The publication of the song prior to Melodifestivalen means that the song is likely to be disqualified, despite only being in demo form. However the date of publication means that the song would not be eligable to compete in the 2011 Eurovision Song Contest and therefore SVT are certain to disqualify the entry.
The entry was written by JC Chasez, front man of inernational band N-Sync and Swedish songwriters Carl Falk and Kristian Lundin.
Within moments of publishing the full list of entries on esctoday.com, readers posted the information and link and the team quickly forwarded the information to SVT. SVT are expected to make an official statement later today. The song was published on Carl Falk’s myspace page. [source]
