Counting Down to ABDC 5!

Submitted by on January 10, 2010 – 1:14 pm6 Comments

With fewer than three weeks until the premeire of America’s Best Dance Crew, Season Five (featuring our favorite Judge JC Chasez) it’s time to rev the promo machine here at Still ‘Nsync!

First of all, we definitely want to express our immense pride and extreme Fangirly love for Mr Chasez for being part of such a great show. ABDC is consistently one of MTV’s top rated shows. Recently two ABDC Seasons were listed in the List of Best Reality Shows of the 00′s. Season after season, hopefuls line up to audition for this show with dreams of making it big, getting some exposure, and with any luck, being crowned America’s Best Dance Crew. Good luck to all of the Season 5 contestants and in the words of Co-Judge Lil Mama…. GO BIG OR GO HOME! (What? I had to say it!)

Promo for Season 5 is beginning to show up on your TV sets. In the next few weeks it’ll likely be in overdrive as MTV tries to pump not only the new season, but the return to Thursday nights and the added element of audition footage. We’re REALLY excited about audition footage and we hope we see lots of JC interacting with the crews.

Under the cut, you’ll find two vids: One fanmade video that’s basically a review of every crew that has been on ABDC from S1 to S4. The second is the official S5 trailer, starring ABDC4 Champions We Are Heroes.   Don’t forget (as if you could forget!) to tune into MTV Thursday, Jan 28th, 10pm for the premiere of JC Says The Darndest Things Randy Jackson Presents America’s Best Dance Crew, Season 5!

I don’t think JC is ever mean and rude and blunt as Simon, but he does have an idea of what he’s looking for from each crew. I think he sees the potential and gives pointers to help them achieve that level. It doesn’t do the crews much good if they’re not pushed to exceed the level at which they perform. Looking at the opportunities that ABDC has opened for the competing crews, the show really prepares them for life in professional dance.

Honest, yes. In that way he’s a lot like Simon. Simon knows his stuff and isn’t afraid to share his opinion. I don’t think JC is purposely hurtful and insulting, though. These crews need more than pats on the back to win.

i didn’t mean it that way, it’s very good for the crews because JC gives such precise comments on their performances and it helps them to improve, (simon is naturally mean in my point of view). And you are correct about the crews being pushed, because when you don’t push them to their potential, they’ll probably have a hard time improving. The crews needs both encouragement and JC and the other judge’s critique minds to win.

It’s just that when he comments (not to mention his chair position) I think of him as the simon of the three… hahah… i love it…

    I can’t wait for season 5!!!
