Pufnstuf” and “Land of the Lost,” designed 25-foot puppets of the group for their 2000 American Music Awards performance and claimed ‘NSYNC and their manager had subsequently profited from using images of the puppets on tour merchandise, which they alleged violated their copyright on the giant toys.

Around 1 a.m., Bass (the one who wanted to take a trip into space) and J.C. (whose “controlled substance” abuse spaced him out) headed to the after-hours Tribeca (Richmond & Cumberland). They hung out in the VIP area – where they ordered a bottle of Stoli Vanilla, some mixers and a few Coronas – until 3:30 a.m. “J.C. kind of acted like a hot shot, and he was too good for everyone,” reports a Stu’s Spy, while Lance was “talking to everybody. He even hit the dance floor with the two girls he came in with.” After Lively Lance paid the $220 bill on his credit card, tipping $65, the guys were spied trading digits with four delicious Delilah’s Den dancers, who were told to rendezvous back at the Sofitel (for a very private couch dance?).
