VH1 will be airing “100 Greatest Artists of All Time” this weekend. Chris shows up in this special and talks about Green Day, and I presume he appears to discuss other bands as well.

In 2007, Vh1 launched a reality show called Mission:ManBand, where four former BoyBand members moved into Chris Kirkpatrick’s house in Orlando and had three weeks to make lightning strike twice. Joining Chris were Bryan Abrams from Color Me Badd, Jeff Timmons from 98 Degrees, and Rich Cronin from LFO. Together, they were Sureshot.
The show itself was tough to watch. Dark and soulful, it gave us our first (shocking) glimpse of Chris, post *NSYNC and a fly-on-the-wall view into the lives that teen idols lead after the screams from the fans have died down and the money is spent and they find themselves alone, wondering… what now? Mission:ManBand was the story of 4 men coming to terms with their lives and making a vigilant effort at getting back to their first love: music.
Chris Kirkpatrick and Rich Cronin have known each other since their days as label mates. *NSYNC and LFO were both signed to Lou Pearlman’s Transcontinental Label. Through the years they kept in touch and when VH1 came calling, were reunited for Mission: Manband. While the show itself was entertainment, the rapport between Chris and Rich was better than the show itself. Chris laughed until he cried and then laughed some more.
Earlier today the fandom received the sad news that Rich Cronin passed away. At the time of this post, the cause is unknown. This saddens us in so many ways, as it forces us to come to grips with the humanity of the people we idolize. They live largely and fully. And sadly, they die.
I’ve picked some great videos from Mission: ManBand to remember Rich by. He was hilarious, and had such an effect on Chris. He was easily my favorite, though it was probably from his wicked Bahston accent. Enjoy these awesome moments (after the cut) and please keep Chris in your thoughts.
The TV glee coach got help from the former ‘NSYNC-er for a track called ‘Dancing in the Rain.’

It’s no Acafellas reunion, but “Glee” star Matthew Morrison says he hooked up with former boy bander JC Chasez for one of the tracks on his solo album, which he plans to release next year.
“I wrote about half the album so far, but I’ve definitely co-wrote. I’ve definitely teamed up with some great producers, some great songwriters,” he teased MTV News at the “Glee” season two premiere party on Tuesday night in Los Angeles. “And yeah, I just did this great song last week with JC Chasez that was very, very cool. It turned out really well. He’s such a good songwriter.”
While the details of the collaboration with the former ‘NSYNC member are scant, Morrison (who plays glee club coach Will Schuester on the show) did share the name of the track. “It’s called ‘Dancing in the Rain,’ not ‘Singing in the Rain,’ but ‘Dancing in the Rain.’ ”
Morrison shared that he’s got some other collaborations on the album, but wouldn’t name names. “It’s very eclectic. I’m doing some great duets. I can’t release who they’re with yet, [but it's] some people that you’ve probably heard of before, that you’ve definitely heard of before.”
Fans of “Glee,” which returns to Fox on September 21, shouldn’t be surprised to learn what Morrison’s album will sound like. “It’s gonna be a little adult contemporary,” he said. “And there’s gonna be some pop songs that you can shake your money maker to in the club.”
And while Morrison’s co-stars may be presenting an award at this year’s MTV Video Music Awards, he’s got even bigger plans following his album’s release. “I’m hoping to perform at the VMAs next year!”

Mirimichi Press Conference and Ribbon Cutting Photos

Superstar Justin Timberlake’s Mirimichi golf course was supposed to reopen after renovations this summer, but delays moved the reopening to Labor Day and came with the announcement of a new project!
Timberlake is so Memphis that the musician introduced one of the dignitaries at his golf course grand re-opening by asking, “Do you want me to give you like a whole Memphis Fight Intro?” and then humming the U of M Tigers Fight Song.
Bud Smart of the Golf Environment Organization came to award Mirimichi as the first certified green and sustainable course in the Americas!
“Mirimichi is what we as an organization want every golf course to aspire to,” said Smart.
Jt4Breakfast has some video of the ribbon cutting at Mirimichi Re-opening. “It’s a completely selfish way for me to come home and golf all the time, so…”
